This is a huge bug I think that has been affecting the Wayback Machine recently. Loads of pages that have always worked fine for years and have not been edited in any way now no longer seem to work at all.

I get the same thing too! First "robots.txt" has been placed onto 1UP.com, then GameZone, and now TeamXbox! How long will this go on? If they keep on adding "robots.txt" onto more game pages, pretty soon there will be no more archived game pages to display onto Wikipedia! Please fix this!

There is a bug that was discovered in the last few days. The fix will migrate over the next several days. We appreciate your patience while it i fixed.

Thank you. I hope this gets fixed.

The archive worked for these sites last week:
http://mysite.freeserve.com/*
http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/*

Now there's just the robots.txt error, despite no robots.txt existing on the server.
Ooh, soo glad to hear!
Knew something must have happened as everything had worked fine until this week.. Got really scared now as I´m actually in the middle of a law suit against a firm that has copied all my written content from my website, and on top of that distributed my texts to many other firms and their websites over several years. So I have been using the wayback service extensively to gather proof that proves that my content was published first.. This asshole firm now tries everything to get away so I got really scared that my gathering of proof here was lost now..
Hope the bug is an easy fix.
Thanks for responding about this Jeff!
I´ll sleep a lot better now :)

BTW, the bug doesn´t only affect already saved pages in the history view, it also affects trying to capture a new url in Save Page Now.. It starts to load but then the same error message about robots.txt. shows. Just so you know ..

This post was modified by Izzy15 on 2015-04-05 20:10:59

Now *ALL* the sites appear to be unviewable.

Can't find any that don't "dump" to the WWW version.

Is wayback dead now?

I have the same problem as well because I can't get to this site:

https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://research.backchannelmedia.com

And now that stupid robots.txt thing has now blocked my site, Does anyone know here when that site will be fixed or not? Because If that site is not fixed at all, I will not be going to the Internet Archive website anymore!
